2004 Multistate Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 Linked to Carneco Foods Ground Beef
Ground beef supplied to Sam's Club stores in Wisconsin and Minnesota led to an outbreak of E.coli O157:H7. Approximately 500,000 pounds of ground beef products were recalled. The ground beef had been produced by Carneco Foods of Columbus, Nebraska.
