2014 Norovirus Outbreak - Mohonk Mountain House

In February 2014 staff and guests at Mohonk Mountain House located in New Paltz, NY were infected with norovirus. Six persons submitted stool specimens to the New York State Department of Health which confirmed the outbreak was caused by norovirus. The resort elected to close and a thorough cleanup was implemented before the facility reopened. Several hundred people were reportedly ill.
