2015 Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Boise Co-Op

In June 2015 Idaho public health officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella. As of June 17, the Central District Health Department (CDHD) in Boise said 200 individuals had tested positive for Salmonella and that more tests were pending. All ill patients had consumed food purchased at the Boise Co-Op located 888 W Fort Street in Boise. On June 15 the Co-Op voluntarily closed the deli while the investigation continued. Salmonella was isolated in onions, tomatoes and raw turkey sold in the store's deli section.
