2017 Outbreak of Cryptosporidium Linked to Heaven on Earth Rescue Farm, Pennsylvania
In March 2017 the Pennsylvania Department of Health advised visitors, staff and volunteers at Heaven on Earth Rescue Farm that they may have been exposed to Cryptosporidium. In February the farm received young goats and calves that required bottle feedings. At least five laboratory-confirmed cryptosporidium infections and 6 probable cases were identified by health officials. The farm is located in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania.
