2017 Outbreak of Norovirus Associated with Subway Restaurant Located in Normandy Park, WA
In October 2017 members of separate parties became ill after eating at a Subway located in Normandy Park, Washington. Meal dates occurred between October 20 and October 22. Eighteen people from 7 different meal groups reported illness consistent with norovirus. Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC) Environmental Health inspectors conducted an on-site visit to the restaurant on October 25. During the field inspection, no factors were identified that are known to contribute to the spread of norovirus. The restaurant was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
