2019 Outbreak of E. coli at Lake Nokomis, Minnesota
Disease investigators at the Minnesota Department of Health identified a total of 49 people who became ill with diarrhea after swimming at Lake Nokomis. This total, current as of August 16, 2019, included 3 lab confirmed cases of Shiga toxin-E. coli (STEC). Cases became ill after swimming at the lake between July 16 and August 11. No one was hospitalized.
