Chicago Department of Public Health officials investigated and outbreak of Salmonella associated with food purchased at the kitchen counter at Supermercado Rivera located at 4334 West 51st Street in Chicago. At least 6 people were diagnosed with Salmonella. Meal dates occurred o February 23 and February 24, 2019. Carnitas were the suspected contaminated food.
