Bauer Meats Ground Beef 1998

A boy in Georgia became ill with E. coli O157:H7 after eating a hamburger at his school lunch. The meat was provided by Bauer Meats, a processing company. Following this illness, Bauer Meats recalled its ground beef products. Five months later, the US Department of Agriculture's Department of Food Safety found Bauer Meats' products unfit for human consumption.
