Family Fourth of July Gathering Water 2005

An outbreak of campylobacteriosis occurred among family members who participated in a Fourth of July family gathering. The gathering was held in Converse County, Wyoming. Illness was identified in family members from Converse County and Natrona Counties, Wyoming, and from Colorado. The home where the gathering was held had a shallow well. Possible exposures included accidental drinking of untreated well water or swimming in a contaminated children’s pool at the house.
