Multistate Ground Beef 2006

A confirmed multistate outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 occurred in the United States among people who had eaten ground beef in private homes. It was not clear whether this outbreak had a relationship to the Minnesota outbreak involving Nebraska Beef/Interstate Meat/Tabaka's Supervalu Ground Beef, however the outbreaks were concurrent. The CDC's National Outbreak Reporting System did not list the states involved in this outbreak.
