E.coli O157:H7 infections had been traced to the consumption of ground beef purchased at Byerly's and Lund's grocery stores in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The beef originated from PM Beef Holdings, a company located in Windom, Minnesota. The same strain of E. coli O157:H7 strain was isolated from case patients and consumer samples of ground beef.
