The Olive Garden Restaurant Fresh Parsley 2005

Four persons in King and Pierce Counties, Washington state, had developed E.coli O157:H7 after eating at The Olive Garden Restaurant in Federal Way. Investigators determined that all had eaten the house salad and fresh parsley. The strain of E.coli O157:H7 was common to other concurrent E.coli O157:H7 outbreaks in Washington and Oregon. Fresh parsley from the same Oregon farm was ultimately linked to all of the outbreaks.
